This month’s selections include a range of offerings from a U of T mac ‘n’ cheese smackdown to an International Women’s Day panel and art exhibitions.
Brain Waboose Art Exhibition
The Ukrainian Canadian Art Foundation’s KUMF Gallery will feature the solo exhibition of Anishinaabe artist, Brian Waboose from March 3 – 24, 2024, and reintroduce a gifted Indigenous artist known for his colourful paintings and carvings. This showcase explores a range of themes that highlight Brian Waboose’s interests, Indigenous identity, and unconventional career path as a self-taught painter.

Mac ‘n’ Cheese Smackdown
If you’re a mac ‘n’ cheese lover, the annual U of T mac ‘n’ Cheese Smackdown could be a tasty lunch option. Cheer on the best chefs on campus as they compete for the title, sample their creations, and help support the United Way Greater Toronto.
Cost: $8 All proceeds go to United Way Greater Toronto

A Golden Anniversary for Women and Gender Studies
Did you know that U of T holds the distinction of having one of the oldest Women and Gender Studies programs in Canada? Join the Women and Gender Studies Institute (WGSI) as they celebrate the 50th anniversary of the program and International Women’s Day.

Indigenous Planetary Health: The Path We Walk with Dr. Nicole Redvers
Learn more about planetary health and global sustainability movements from an Indigenous perspective. Planetary health refers to the health of human civilization and the state of the natural systems on which it depends. With wider planetary health movements taking hold, Dr. Nicole Redvers emphasizes the importance of ensuring a grounding in the stewardship practices, the relation building, and the innate sense of reciprocity embodied in traditional Indigenous knowledges around the globe.
