As we ushered in the vibrant colours of autumn at the beginning of the fall 2023 term, we were thrilled about the remarkable developments at the heart of our Tech2U support services. Our experienced Tech2U Student Classroom Ambassadors (CAs) embarked on a pioneering journey to enhance the learning environment at Convocation Hall (also known as Con Hall)!
The A-Team Takes the Stage
Eight seasoned CAs, handpicked for their tech prowess and enthusiasm, took center stage to provide crucial technological support to instructors conducting classes at Con Hall. This dedicated team, present from Monday to Friday, was poised to support our instructors, ensuring they had a smooth teaching experience in historic Con Hall.
Mentored for Excellence
Albert Jung, our Classroom Technology Support Supervisor, played a pivotal role in shaping the capabilities of our CAs. With his expert guidance, our ambassadors were introduced to the intricacies of the AV booth and became acquainted with the access points for overseeing and troubleshooting Con Hall’s tech setup.
Innovating with Convocation Hall Knowledge Base
Two of our brilliant CA team members, Arunkumar Navneethakrishanan and Aryasree Remadevi, seized the opportunity to raise the bar even higher. They harnessed their tech expertise to create a masterpiece that contained their combined know-how: the Convocation Hall Knowledge Base. This resource massively improved the way our CA team operated in Con Hall, making every shift smoother and more efficient.
Empowering with Visuals
What sets the Convocation Hall Knowledge Base apart is its visual approach to simplifying tasks. Arunkumar and Aryasree meticulously crafted a comprehensive checklist that detailed all the tasks to be performed before and after each shift. What made it a highly effective tool was the inclusion of visual aids. Each task was thoughtfully accompanied by images of the equipment or the specific location, ensuring that our CAs were able to seamlessly complete their duties during their shifts. This visual aspect not only enhanced the clarity of instructions but also ensured a standardized approach to service across all shifts.
A Collaborative Effort
The dedication and ingenuity displayed by Arunkumar and Aryasree in developing this invaluable resource are commendable. They sought feedback from Albert and meticulously reviewed the document with Albert, ensuring that it met the highest standards of quality and practicality. Once finalized, they generously shared it with their fellow team members, creating an easy, accessible, and quick resource which became a game-changer in our mission to provide top-notch tech support at Con Hall.
